Where Did The Long Coats Come From?

Our first three years here I kept noticing a trend in longer coated cats showing up in the litters. Since we spotted the parents, trapped and fixed most of them, we knew they had short coats.

Finally, the culprit has shown up in his own magnificent glory. He has been hanging here a few weeks now, and I can not get a hold of him, too skittish. So we will be trying to trap and get him altered. He is very handsome, huge, and has creamy colored eyes.
